Join me in Canada’s largest walk to support child and youth mental health and well-being, raising funds for Kids Help Phone.
Welcome to The Source’s Walk website, designed specifically for us, to support one another, fundraise together, and track our top fundraisers!
For the past 7 years, I have walked and supported this cause with the belief that no child should ever feel alone, unloved, unheard or hopeless. We continue to hear about mental health and the stigma facing Canadians, and this can be just as devastating for kids and teens. Young people may experience overpowering feelings of isolation, hopelessness, and paralysis and often don’t feel comfortable reaching out for help.
Kids Help Phone is a first line of defense for the millions of kids across Canada dealing with mental health struggles, fear, loneliness and counsellors are ready to help 24 hours a day for concerns big or small! Through live chat, blogs and over the phone counselling Kids Help Phone is focused on providing hope and support because studies have shown that “hope” has everything to do with young people’s mental health and well-being, proving it “energizes people to move forward.”
Our company goal is $70,000 for 2013 and we need your commitment, energy and support to achieve it! There are more than 30 walk locations across the country at which The Source associates may participate. I encourage you and hope your team, family, friends and neighbours will join us for the Walk.
On Sunday May 5th I look forward to The Source making a difference for countless Canadian kids and teens.
Warmest Regards,
Charles
